Sustainability
Our commitment to the planet
Timber is one of nature's most sustainable building materials. We're committed to ensuring it stays that way.
Building with nature, not against it
At Plank, sustainability isn't an afterthought—it's fundamental to everything we do. From forest to floor, we ensure our At Plank, sustainability begins with the material itself and informs every part of our process. We work with responsibly sourced timbers, use low-VOC finishes and engineer our boards to make efficient use of natural resources while delivering the beauty and performance modern projects demand.
By combining a hardwood veneer with a cross-laminated core, our boards use timber intelligently while achieving greater stability and durability than solid timber alternatives. The result is flooring designed for a long life, reducing the need for replacement and making more of every material choice.
Our pillars
Sustainability in practice
Responsible partnerships
We work with responsibly sourced timbers and suppliers who share our commitment to protecting natural resources through forest management and biodiversity conservation. FSC-certified options are available across our range.
A minimal footprint
We actively work to minimise our carbon footprint across our supply chain, from responsible sourcing to efficient logistics, and local manufacturing where possible.
Considered finishes
Every Plank board is prefinished using low-VOC WOCA oils from Denmark, reducing the need for additional coatings on site while enhancing and protecting the natural timber.
Waste reduction
Our manufacturing process is designed to get the most from every piece of timber by maximising yield and minimising waste. Off-cuts and sawdust are repurposed for energy generation and composite products.
Made to last
Our engineered construction is designed for stability, durability and long-term performance. By creating floors that last, we help reduce the need for replacement and make better use of the materials that go into them.
